I had read a couple of forums to use acetone to remove the visor vinyl decals. Well i did and it has left black stains on the visor. What can I do to get rid of this black spot. Better question, is there anything i can do before i replace it?? thanks for the advice in advance

try checking with window tinting shops. My tinting place used some spray thing to remove the decal stains on the windshield. I dono if its the same for the visor. Maybe they'll have a solution for you.

Anyone else have any suggestions?? If not, does anyone know how much a sun visor costs and where i can get one?

If you are referring to the sticky residue left after removing the decal, using lighter fluid will remove that completely. I have used lighter fluid to remove window glazing which is super sticky. Window glazing is use for duel pane windows to adhere to the window frame.
I would take a towel and pour a little of lighter fluid on it and gently try to rub it off. make sure the doors are all open to allow for ventilation. |
I had great success using a product called Goo Gone for the same problem you have described.

Try applying WD 40 to the visor. I would remove the visor from the car and do it where you wont get these cleaners/solvents on your seats, dash, or carpets. |
I successfully removed the sticker using acetone from the visor, but the thing is that there is a big black stain in place of the sticker. Im gonna try a few of the aforementioned techniques. thanks for the advice guys, hopefully one of them will work.
