I've been using Meguiar's products for some time now. However after recently reading a lot of product reviews and comparisons, it seems that Mothers products seem to consistently rank higher than Meg's. I'd love to try Zaino or Zymol, but the products are very hard to find here.
Also now that I've changed from carbon black to silver, I decided to move away from carnauba biased wax to synthetic biased wax. There seems to be some concensus that carnauba is "better" for dark cars and synthetics "better" for light cars.

I've just ordered the following Mothers products, which I intend to use as follows:

For weekly washing
MOTHERS CALIFORNIA GOLD WASH
MOTHERS FX SPRAY WAX

Every 2 months
MOTHERS REFLECTIONS CAR WAX (this wax has mild cleaners - so good for regular maintenance)
MOTHERS REFLECTIONS TOP COAT (2 layers)
MOTHERS FX SPRAY WAX (2 layers)

Twice a year for major detail session:
MOTHERS CALIFORNIA GOLD CLAY BAR SYSTEM
MOTHERS CALIFORNIA GOLD PRE-WAX CLEANER
MOTHERS CALIFORNIA GOLD PHASE2 SEALER GLAZE
MOTHERS REFLECTIONS CAR WAX
MOTHERS REFLECTIONS TOP COAT (2 layers)

It seems that the FX spray wax is so simple to use that it can easily be used weekly as an after washing detail spray. Its been referred to as "Detailer on steroids"!

I recently bought some of the new Meguiars Ultimate Detail Spray which does seem to be very good. Although I haven'yet had a chance to see how it performs in the rain.

I'll be trying the poducts out next week and post some pics and opinions.
In the interim, are there any other Mothers users out there? What are your opinions?

Thanks.

I use the Mothers California Gold wash on my Titanium Silver 525 - good wash as takes no wax off. Doesn't seem to foam as much as some of the Chemical Guys stuff I also use but still helps the mitt glide across the car.
I use Poorboys polish and EX-P sealant after and then Collinite 476S. Brings the silver out but I'm going to pick up some Dodo juice next.

The Mother's stuff seems good though in my limited experience.

Very nice

I collected today, but they were out of reflections top coat so I left the Reflections wax and took some SynWax instead. It's had very good reviews for bringing out super shine on white and silver cars.

When you're finished, let me now so I can see the finish on another silver.

Hi BMW #6,
I just went to wal mart yesterday and checked out the clay bar from mothers.
Wonder where the customer service phone number at the back of the box, but surprisingly it wasn't there.
How you doing anyway with the product?
Keep us posted..
Good luck Mate...
Thanks,
Yoko.

Its not about the products used, its all in the polishing process.
I have over 20 waxes in my arsenal, anywhere from $5, up to $500 a tub. The effects are not that different. Its in the paint prep.
