Preparing new wheels

Does anybody have any tips, for prepping new wheels before putting them on
Im thinking of a wax or anything to keep brake dust to a minimum
I know about dust free pads , but I just got new pads............................so any other ideas , please

My Ride: BMW E60 530i , Silver with leather Air Con iDrive 17" Breyton Rims with Dunlop Sp Sport tyres (M-Tech Bodykit and rims WANTED)
Alfa Romeo 147 TS1.6 , Black with Air Con 17" Multi Spoke alloys with Bridgestone RE040 tyres
Toyota MR-S 1.8 VVTI , Lagoon Blue with Red leather Air Con 15" standard alloys with Toyo tyres
Toyota Celica 1.8 VVTI, Lagoon Blue, Air Con, 16" Standard alloys with Kuhmo KU31, EBC Green Stuff
I would clean the wheels again with acid-free wheel cleaner (eg P21s) and seal with jetseal109 or poorboy wheel sealant (2-3 coats)

once mounted clean them weekly and build a nice layer for Autobahn every other wheel cleaning.

don't forget to clean the brakes and calipers as well, IMO when those are dirty it just takes away from the new shoes....

Seems others have chimed in with some great answers, and I must point one thing out.
While carnaubas are great, they're not my choice in wheel protectants, because they really don't have excellent durability on surfaces that become so heavily soiled with brake dust such as the wheels and calipers. The other members have correctly pointed to some popular synthetic sealants to protect these surfaces, and I second their advice.
My personal choice as a wheel/caliper protectant is "Rejex" soil barrier. Great stuff for wheels and high traffic areas.
