Over the past few weeks I have been slowly but surely gathering my supplies to take me into the world of detailing. I'm just after a bit of advice about polishing choices. I think I have it down between the following combos:-

Pinnacle XMT fine and ultra fine swirl remover (XMT #2 and #1)...or
Menzerna PO85RD3.02 (or 106FF/106FA) and PO85RD.

Does anyone know what the cut is on autoglym ultra deep shine? I have some in the garage which might be of use at some point..

Any advice? Or how would going Pinnacle XMT #2 and PO85RD sound ???

Also, does anyone know any UK online suppliers of Cobra microfibre bonnets, or can recommend any others??...I can't find Cobra ones, but I know cleanyourcar.co.uk supply Sonus ones

Cheers

Go with Menzerna.
John at Clean and Shiny should be a good choice.

I've use Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine, its a paint cleaner/polish/wax in one bottle. From my experience it has a very light cutting power as most light scratches will reappear after application, which means it tends to hide the scratches rather than correcting it.

For minor (summertime) correction work I use Menz 3.02 and either Sonus/Lakecountry pads. Generally use Swissol Paint cleaner, then AG Sealant and Chemical Guys XXX Wax. Lasts quite well. This winter I have used Carlack 68 (all-in one product) and Collinite 472 and produces amazing results for little effort.

Thanks for the info,
Can I confirm that the carlack product you mention is the 'nano systematic care' cleaner/sealant...I read somewhere it was equivalent to Klasse All in One.
My attention was drawn to Carlack when I saw this (which also used Menz PO85RD3.02)

the-detailer 535d

which does look amazing

I will stick with Menz range all the time! As pyiu said, get it from cleanandshine.co.uk ,they are the only one in uk doing this discount
http://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/index.php?a...mp;productId=69

Autoglym UDS is useless in my opinion, but their SRP is good for hand polish tho...

Motorgeek sells cobra microfibre, check here:

hope this help

Cheers
