I polished this metallic green Opel Astra wagon today. The owner wanted only a quick fix as he is selling the car. Total working time was 6 hours, and maybe a 70-80% correction was achieved, depending on the panel.

Wash and cleaning:
Nothing special, but have to mention the AutoGlym Instant Tar Remover that did outstanding job with some heavy tar splatters!

Clearcoat and scratches:
Usual swirls and deeper scratches. The horizontal panels, the roof and the hood, were the worst. A healthy amount of paint & clearcoat and no repainted sections.

Pads, compounds and polishing:
The first stage was Flex PE 14-2 + Lake Country CCS orange light cutting pad + Menzerna PO203S, and the second the stage was done with Flex XC 3401 VRG + LC CCS orange light cutting pad + AutoGlym Super Resin Polish. I wanted to use the LC CCS orange pad in the second phase as well to give the AG SRP some more cutting power to kill the possible holograms caused by the rotary.

LSP
I put a AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection on top of SRP. I haven't used this combination for a long time, so it gave me quite a nostalgic feeling lol!

1) Pre-wash
- A solvent spray wash
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam

2) Wash + tar removing
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam
- Two bucket method + a microfiber mitt
- AutoGlym Instant Tar Remover

3) Claying
- Zaino Z-18 Claybar
- Bilt-Hamber Autofoam as a lubricant

4) Polishing
- Menzerna P203S + Lake Country CCS orange light cutting pad + Flex PE14-2
- AutoGlym Super Resin Polish + Lake Country CCS orange light cutting pad + FLEX XC 3401 VRG

5) LSP
- AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection

6) Others
Tires:
- Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance Tyre Gel

Windows:
- Maston GT Window wash

Black plastics:
- AutoGlym Bumper Care
