My Ride: 2007 530xi, with premium package (PDC, Logic 7, Bluetooth, heated wheel, heated rear seats) and sports package in Sapphire Black with Truffle interior. Also a 2004 X5 4.4 with Premium package, Nav, Comfort Seats, DSP, heated wheel, Sterling silver with BK interior.

I am enjoying my 530xi a lot since getting it in January. However, I find that cleaning inside the rear window is very tricky. My X5 is a doddle but the 530 is hard to reach all the glass. Does anyone have any sneaky tricks or tips for making the job easy? Thanks all...

I find a couple of things helpful: 1) make sure the car's in the shade and is cool; 2) use an alcohol-base (you can mix it yourself from isopropyl alcohol) fluid; 3) use two microfiber cloths...one to apply the solution and wipe the whole glass, and one to wipe until the glass is dry and streak-free. When you wash your microfiber cloths, be sure NOT to use fabric softener in the wash, and NOT to use fabric softener sheets in the dryer cycle (or better yet - let them air dry).

Now that that's over, what's a "doddle?"

I freely admit it. I frequently have to turn on the English subtitles on UK-made movies...and I'm from Bah-Stin...
