Until tonight I have never needed Scratch X
My possibly now EX - wife put some antique (steel) push chair up against the garage wall.
To cut a long story short it fell over onto my rear bumper and slid all the way down the side (just behind the rear wheel arch).
95% of the length of the scratch is like a hairline scratch. But at the top and bottom it is a bit deeper.
I tried Meguiar's Deep Crystal Polish (because I had some available), but with no success. So tomorrow, I am off to buy Scratch X and put it to the test.
I will let you know how it trns out!
For now I am still counting to 10...
For the thousandth time

Oh man - sorry to hear that.
But it is not like intentional damage to your car so please bear that in mind - these things sometimes unfortunately happen - and it is worse when caused by your own wife :'(
Anyway, similar thing happened to me except I have no idea what caused it - i came back to car in car park and found a 3" scuff on my boot lid - someone must have put their shopping on my car whilst doing something to their own car - can't believe the carelessness of some people
Looks like we're both having to put our faith in Scratch X
Here's hoping

OK so here is the before pic of the worst part of the scratch:
Scratches 1, 2 & 3 seem to be the deepest.
Scratches 4 & 5 , and sets 6 & 7 appeared initially to be very similar in depth to 1, 2 & 3.
NOTE that the entire area of the photo represents an area on the car which is less than 1 inch wide.

And here is the after pic.
Scratch X removed scratches 4 through 7 very well!
It took a lot of effort but the results are impressive.
The remaining scratches 1,2 & 3 can now only be seen in direct sunlight and only if you know where to look. They are visible in the pics only because I used a flash.
My Wife will have to write a thank you note to Mr Meguiar .... no sofa neccessary.
Actually a big thank you to Mr Meguiar from me too.
