Hey everybody,
Just trying to catch up on write ups that are way overdue.
This was the first Interlagos Blue M3 I got a chance to work on and the fact that it was an e90 made it that much more interesting. The car was dropped off and left with me for a few days since the owner was heading out of town.
As usual the first walk around shots

![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/3.jpg)
I rinsed off the rims and then applied p21s wheel cleaner
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/4.jpg)
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/5.jpg)
While the wheel cleaner was working I moved on to the engine and exhaust
no during shots just befores and afters
before

after

and an artsy farsty shot

The exhaust was not to bad so just a microfibre mitt was needed
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/15.jpg)
after
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/16.jpg)
I turned on the car to let the engine run for a bit and blow out a little water in the exhaust. Man that Encore Titanium exhaust is LOUD
Finally got back to the wheels and started on the inner barrel with my Ez Brush
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/10.jpg)
All foamed up
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/11.jpg)
Did the face and behind the spokes with my microfibre mitt
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/12.jpg)
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/13.jpg)
And a wet after shot
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/14.jpg)
Started rinsing down the car and noticed right away no wax was on the car which for me was a good thing for polishing but a bad thing for the car until it met me lol

No water beading = no wax
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/18.jpg)
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/19.jpg)
Started washing the car using the 2 bucket method and a natural sea sponge
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/20.jpg)
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/21.jpg)
Then dried off with my waffle weave towel
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/22.jpg)
Brought it in the garage and began to clay bar the paint
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/23.jpg)
The dirt the clay was picking up
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/24.jpg)
I think someone ended up off the track
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/18.jpg)

After the claying I measured the paint to see the levels I was working with
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/26.jpg)

![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/28.jpg)
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/29.jpg)
No repaints and nothing ridiculously thin
The swirls were not to deep and the paint just needed a 1 stage polish to bring it back up to par
I used my Flex orbital, Lake Country orange pads, and Menzera Powerfinish
Here are the before and after shots
Before

Here are the reflection I was getting right after the polishing
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/45.jpg)
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/44.jpg)
I forgot to take pics of me masking off the rubber trim but here is a pic of me unmasking the blue tape
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/46.jpg)
And wiping off the residue left behind
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/47.jpg)
Afterwards I gave the paint an ipa alcohol wipe down (ipa was cut 50/50 with water) to clean off the polishing oils so the wax could bond to the bare metal

wiping the paint down
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/49.jpg)
Checked the paint with my 3M Sun Gun and things were looking lovely
No swirls

![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/52.jpg)
Check out the flake
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/53.jpg)
Waxed the car. Wax was Swissvax Concorso
![](http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn31/WesRobles1/chingsm3/45.jpg)

While the wax was curing I cleaned the windows with my Glass Master Pro(I lol everytime I say that name. I feel like a rapper from the 80s Blast Master Wes...echo echo echo echo) and dressed the tires
