Hey all:

I saw this new Liquid Ice Clay Bar...except that it was a three layer liquid -- see pic

Anyone ever use this product? Any comments, thoughts? What would you reccomend otherwise for claying? I'm a little reluctant to use the moldy stuff....

Never used it so can't give any comments. But I've tried their ICE liquid polish and it was useless so i doubt it will work great.

I use Sonus green clay and i love it, it is a very mild clay and it was so easy to use and very little chance of marring or whatsoever.
Meguairs & and Mother made good clay as well from what i've heard, had use Megs before but i still prefer Sonus green.

I only use CG's Clay bar (Grey and Blue bars). I tend to stay away from any of the "over the counter" car care products that you find at your local Pep Boys or AutoZone.

The products I use are: CG, Menzerna & Zaino.

CG (Chemical Guys). You have to buy from them direct.

I also stay away from the over the counter stuff you can buy at the grocery store (liquid clay, etc.) I have ordered from both chemicalguys.com and autogeek.net Just recently purchased the Clayblock alternative set from Chemical guys (http://www.chemicalguys.com/Clay_Bar..._block_kit.htm). Haven't had a chance to try it yet but trust that it will perform just as well as their other products.

Autogeek has a lot of information for those that are new to detailing.

Liquid Clay is an oxymoron, it's just a great example of poor strategy and worse execution

Believe it or not, it actually works pretty well. Its the only product out of the liquid ice line that is worth anything. Although its not as good as a true clay bar, it is 100x easier and quicker to use. You won't see professional detailers using it, but it works great for the average joe.

That's what I heard too. My neighbor uses it for his Jag and his Hummer and it literally feels like glass when he is done.... Half the effort and about the same result???
