i kind of remember kigerka told me he's using meguair's cleaner/conditioner and said it's very good.? since our leather seats aren't shiny and that cleaner/conditioner leaves no shine at all which is what i like.? start from the driver's seat first.? it'll take about 10-15 minutes to dry.? then go to other seats.? kigerka, am i remembering it right ?

Yes you are right. I do not get in the seat until 15 minutes or more. I do the passenger seat about twice a week and the back seats a month at a time.

There is a lot of grease around my work. Too much of a pain to change every time at work.

My salesperson worked his way up in the dealership and had detailed cars. He gave me a can of Zepp vinyl cleaner and blue turkish hand towels (get a pack in Kragen) when I leased my 330i with beige leather 3 yrs back. I used it to clean seats, inserts and steering wheel for 4 years with amazing results. The leather looked like new when I sold the car last week. That's what I'll use on my 5 coming next week.

Spray Zepp on the cloth, then wipe leather. For stains, spray on the stain and let Zepp stay for 30 seconds (no longer) before wiping. Hope this helps.

a big step for me ! i've finally wiped my seats. first time in 10 years ! i used the meguair's cleaner/conditioner i mentioned earlier. i think it took longer than 15 minutes to dry because i still could feel it after 25 minutes i wiped it. i think it's a better idea to leave it at least an hour or longer. it doesn't "shine" like other products but it does look a little shinier/wetter/darker than before. i'm not going to post any pics because you won't be able to tell the difference . ok, ok...i'm too lazy .
