Does anybody know a good leather repair place in LA? I have a 1 inch scratch in the leather
on one of the rear seats and some discoloration on my steering wheel. I went to a place
this morning and they wanted $100 per problem. They said they would dye it and I would never
have known that scratch was ever there and the same for the steering wheel. Is this a reasonable
price?? On a side note, i have some peeling on my steering wheel trim, the lower two pieces, on
the non-sport steering wheel. Can I just order these trim pieces and replace them(out of warranty)?

You will be amazed at what these guys can do. I had a 1 inch rip in a leather seat on an SUV I used to own. The guy repaired it and I could never tell. It was several years ago so I don't remember the price, but I'm reasonably sure it wasn't more than $100. Ask someone from a local body shop, I'm sure they have people that they work with who can take care of it for you.

Here are the pics. First pic is the scratch on the backseat. Second is the wear on the driver's seat.
Third pic is the steering wheel. The leather place said about $100 each for pics 1 & 3. About $350
for pics 2.

Some of these mobil leather repair guys do most of their work for used car lots. Temp fixes since the car is sold within a few weeks. Dealer will claim he does not remember anyone working on car. Be careful; get references.
