Just debadged my car ... have a question about the stickynessss

My Ride: 2005 BMW 525D M-SPORT // Grey // SB attached
Hi all,
I used a hair dryer and some dental floss to get rid of the badge from the badge. I am now left with a lot of sticky residual ... and wanted to know the best way to get this off without damaging the paint. I am in the UK so dont have Goo be gone or anything like that. Anyone have any ideas what is best to use ?

I did this last year to my previous car. It comes off with thumb-rubbing and fingernail coersion. It can take 20 minutes to get the whole thing finished and you'll be tempted to give up, but you get there in the end.

Yeh I agree the thumb trick it lengthy but the safest. I might just heat it up a bit with the hair dryer again and get it off like that. The less chemicals used the better ... for a n00b like me

Goo gone is just a petroleum distillate, you could probably use some petrol on a soft rag to remove it. But you will need to wax after!!!

I might have to pop over to friends house tonight who is in the trade ... he'll get it off and wax if needed.

My Ride: 2004 BMW 525i Msport Euro specs: voice command, Lighting package, bluetooth package, premium sound and M5 wheels.
I did not debadge since mine came with M sport badge from the dealer. However, I used penetrating oil spray in the debadge area on my Toyota Land cruiser, left for 5 minutes and you can easily peel it off. Wash then wax. No scratch. Hope tis helps. Thanks
