I'm also using the Z9/Z10 combo...
I apply them once a week when I wash my car, but I find that the lovely zaino smell goes away after just a couple of days...

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

Lexol is always a good choice, i've only used it once though. For just regular maintenance I use Meg's leather cleaner/conditioner. But when I first got the car, and whenever the leather is just feeling harder than usual, I'll bust out the Leatherique

This is some good sh*t, best cleaner/conditioner i've ever used. But it's by no means meant to be used as a regular touch up, you gotta invest some time with this product.

I've used Griot's Garage leather products for many years and have always been happy with the results!! Interior-11142_fam.jpg

I haven't cleaned or conditioned my black leather in 5.5 years. Luckily I park in the garage most of the time... I went to Kragen and picked up Lexol Leather Cleaner & Conditioner today. Leather didn't have much dirt but the steering wheel on the other hand was filthy. I thought the leather on my steering wheel was fading... turns out it was dirt & grime. Now it looks pretty good again.

5 years is a long time for leather ... it may look OK on the surface but is probably very dried out. After a cleaning you should really give the hides a thorough dose of leather conditioner. The multi-purpose products skimp on the replenishing oils that are needed. Let it soak in for several hours before buffing with a terry towel.

Will this stuff prevent the occasional scuff mark look. My leather is black and every now and then I see like little whitish ashy like marks. Like a dry skin look. Which is the best to use to prevent that. Will Lexol take care of that? Do I apply that weekly? Thanks.

I've used Lexol (the cleaner and the leather conditioner) for many years on my cars. I really like the product.

I have tried Maguiar's and Lexol and don't notice much difference. Is there any benefit in lettting the interior heat up in the sun and applying conditioner while hot to help the process?
I am disappointed in the suppleness of the 5 series seats, even with premium package, and would like to make them look as good as I can.
Any comments much appreciated as always.
These forums are the best - taught me alot.
