I take my e60 to a hand car wash (just had it detailed today )
This is me too. I loved to wash and wax and do all that, really give the car some TLC, BUT the community I live in no longer allows residents to wash their cars in front of their houses. So sad.... So I'm forced to take it to the car wash.

Hi,

I always handwash both of our cars, E87 and E60 myself. Currently I use only Swissvax products: Car Bath, Paint Rubber Kit, Cleaning Fluid, Shield Wax and Autobahn Wax for Wheels and Pneu for tyres.

It takes time but the result is what I expect

Best regards from rainy Finland

I have mine hand washed + waxed by a local detailer. I started off doing it myself but I don't have time so...... and it only costs 15 bucks too! It's an old couple that run the detailing business on an empty lot with a metal shack so I try to support them --- also, they do a thorough job even cleaning the 166's behind the spokes as well!

Hi
Can't think of car wash or hand wash as most hand washes are operated by non profesionals , thus damaging the car without any responsibility.
I normally start by applying a mild solution of TFR (TRAFIC FILM REMOVER) to 172's for few minutes + quick soapy sponge if needed.
Wash the wheels and car with pressure washer (40c) ,then sponge from mild temp shampoo ,rinse 60c water mixed with hot wax. get rid of excess water on body and windows by special blade,
finish microfiber cloth. Job done and all takes about 30min considering almost60 and few med /condition slowing me down.
Good luck to all.

I won't even let the dealer wash my car............100% handwashed personally, The 166's are soooo easy to keep clean vs the 172's, especially with Axxis dustless pads.
