i am getting a new jet black paint...

planning to wax it every 2 weeks...wash it 3x a week and polish maybe every 6 month...

does that sounds ok? whats the recommended way of doing it.. thanks

 

You might reconsider polishing every like 3 months.

Also wash 3x a week...Isnt that a bit too much?

 

I wash my car every week. Wax every week with the wash. One coat of meguiar sealant, and one coat of NXT tech wax. I plan on polishing every year.

 

Use a polymer and it will last a year if garaged.

Hi, Andy. I do more than once a year, but not because the Rejex has let me down. Every now and then, I just want to bond. We did my wife's new vehicle right after delivery in early June. We're taking it on the road for a couple of thousand miles so I washed it down. The Rejex was holding like I had just put it on. I went over the front surfaces, lights and windshield anyway to see if I could get them a little slicker for better gas mileage.

I used to rub my butt off with wax for the same results except it was not nearly as durable.

 

I actually Rejex every 3 months. Sometimes I do the hood and trunk every few weeks, but only because I am anal and have a Jet Black car that turns more heads constantly. Or it could be because I am addicted to my car and only can look at it clean and perfect. Regardless, it's really up to you, but Rejex is far easier than your standard wax. I used to be a Meguiars man, but not anymore.

 

cheers Jim ! I agree, I apply it on the windscreen as well - even after days of raining and swirving wipers the rain just wind-beads off the glass; wicked stuff not to mention the HUD is crystal clear

Yeah, ease is the word. No hard buffing - just wipe off, that's the trick. Only downside is I use over 10 clean soft cotton wipes each time - and I say downside because sometimes I forget to buy new ones !
