Well I'm pretty pissed to say that somebody actually went around and spray painted most of the cars in my school parking lot. But what can I do. So how should I remove it? It's on every glass surface, even the mirrors, but not on the body panels. Thank god. Anyways, I've heard that nail polish remover works well. What do you guys think?

Thanks.

Gasoline or mineral spirits work well.

Nail polish remover contains acetone or similar and while it will get the paint off your glass, if you get any on the body you will most likely get the paint of there too. I would try using a single edge razor scraper like painters use to clean over-paint off of glass. But you need to keep the angle correct (45 degrees or so) or else you might scratch the glass. You could try lacquer thinner on a rag, but if you get it on the body it will also probably damage the paint, so I would mask the surrounding body parts with plastic sheeting if I was going to try that. If you know a good body shop, they may be able to give you some advice or actually remove it for a nominal fee.

I appreciate your response. I think I'll go ahead and buy some sort of razor like you suggest. But damn, I just realized how many people are having their cars messed with lately. What's going on?

SORRY TO HEAR THIS.

THE PAINT COMES OFF
THE FACT DOESN'T

Alcohol and a razor blade :)

Ok, I just finished cleaning off the paint. Scratching it off was kinda difficult, but then I tried... Windex! And it worked miracles.

However, there's still a little bit of reddish residue on the trim below my windshield and rear window, where I guess the paint dripped down. What should I use for cleaning these? It's the rubber seal around the windows, and I just have a bad gut feeling about using Windex for these too, cause of the ammonia.

Anyways, I really do appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Like I said, gasoline or mineral spirits. Am I talking to myself here? It won't damage anything (paint or otherwise) if left on or used for a short period of time.

I would try isopropyl alcohol first. It won't hurt anything. You may have to rub it a bit. Then clean with soap and water and apply Armorall or whatever you normally use.

This works well on just about anything on glass.
