The powerball foam + swirl-x will leave buffing marks, it's just part of polishing. You should go over the car again with a finer polish and a softer applicator to remove those buffer marks.
You could also go over it will a glaze to help fill in any swirls or RDS(random deep scratches) that may be left.
And as a side note, if your looking into an orbital buffer just safe your money and get a Porter Cable 7424. They came out with an updated version called the 7424XP, so you should be able to find one of the original ones for pretty cheap (like ~$100 plus shipping).
Or hit up DetailsDomain, they have some good PC kits with everything you need

I'm just curious, I am using a generic swirl remover with one of those buffers from any hardware store. I use it quite often after I do a thorough wash, and the results is really impressive. The paint is very smooth and swirl free. Now that I've ead these swirl removing agents are not good for the paint/clear coat, I'm scared to use it too often.
My buffer is not those fancy kind, just a simple buffer, doesn't have crazy high revs, lol.
Should I be worried about my paint?
