Help! BMW shampoo dried up and left stubborn traces on my wheels..

and now what I did to solve the problem - I finally used that abrasive paste and it works like a dream:
I put a bit on a small piece of textile, rub gently a small area literally for 3-5 seconds and - no more spots, just shiny paint.
I wanted to take a pic of the paste and forgot, but it does not matter at all - its a pretty generic paste for paint repair, overspray, slight scratches and scuffs, and also has "carnauba wax" in it, if I can trust the label.
The only thing that worries me a little is that like new the wheels were not shiny, but had a slightly matt finish. So if I go over the wheels with that paste, I will lose that original OEM look. But on the other hand - I wanted to conserve the wheels with wax anyways, so they would become shiny anyways. And, they are far from new and I presume the slight matte finish will return promptly after the "carnauba wax" falls off..

Before I continue I'll try to find some wax will less abrasive elements to minimize the abrasive effect on the paint.
And, the aim is that these wheels look like new after the process - including the barrel, the nut holes etc. Only the curbs will not be sorted for now.
Two of the wheels are completely cleaned inside and out, just have to be polished and protected with wax. This one is half-way through and another one is untouched so far.
Waiting for the moment to see them shining on my car, but will have to do some hard work until then
