Thumbs up

I got home from a business trip to find a large splodge of bird poo on my bonnet/hood. Took the car through my local brushless car wash and, horror of horrors, there's a stain there now... large and splodge shaped, and it just won't go away

Bearing in mind that this is the car wash that cleans the car completely of all dirt and stains usually, including those bugs that cake themselves on the mirrors and bonnet on 100mph runs, I'm freaking out ever so slightly here. Anyone know of a good way to remove a localised stain like this without causing damage?

I'm due to detail the car, but will not be able to get to that for another week or two, and I don't want to wait that long before getting this stain off.

And that's exactly why birds should not be allowed to eat leftovers from a vindaloo!

You'll probably have to polish it out, but no doubt someone here will be able to advise you on the best wy to sort this...

good luck mate

You took your 5 where . Shame on you . Hand only detailing on this forum site. You should be able to clay it out after HAND washing her.

Wish I could hand wash her. Unfortunately, living in the centre of Amsterdam means I park on a busy-ish street like so:

among people who park like so:

Not only does it mean no driveway in which to comfortably spend an entire Sunday caring for the baby, but count myself lucky if I get less than a 50 yard walk to the door of my building.

Funny, I had the same thing (almost)...when I saw C's Bimmer's new M5 I shi* myself so bad and got some on my hood...

I feel for you my friend. As for the poo stain, go to an auto parts store, get 3M compound (USD$10)and follow instructions. Thereafter ensure that you wax over the area that you applied compound. It will be safe for your paint. Use coin size amount only and really follow directions. Very simple. GL

Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a go.
