My Ride: 525i Sport. Mystic Blue. Logic 7, 6 CD Changer, Floormats. Just call me the last of the big spenders!!
A story
My car has a slight scratch (5" long 2" wide) on the left rear fender and a big scratch (30") on the bonnet (hood) where a vandal keyed it. I budgeted about ?200 - ?300 to put them both right.
Saw this guys van parked next car showroom. The sign on the van said he does mobile cosmetic repair. I thought I'd ask him for a quote for the work and parked up. He said he'd take a look at it.
He took a look at it and said he could get them both out there and then in 5 minutes. He the proceeded to get his extension lead out, rotary polisher and some cutting compound. 5 minutes later, true to his word, he had sorted out both issues.
HE THEN SAID I DON'T HAVE TO PAY HIM A PENNY, after all it's only 5 minutes work. I offered him some cash anyway but he refused to accept it. He said not to worry about it.
The least I can do for him is to advertise his details for all UK E60 owners.
