Another member mentioned that he accidentally got polish on the rubber strip near the windshield of his vehicle.
I can sympathize with him, but I just saw a speck of dust on my car, and I too are very worried about this.
Time for flaming.
BTW, what is worse than a BMW dealership? Answer = a BMW customer. Obsessive and compulsive.

If you don't care the details it's your business, please don't make it anyone else's problem.

Why are you making such a number of this ? I think it was a reasonable question, especially on the "detailing" section...

In general, white residue on anything is not a good thing. Just ask Bill Clinton.

OP: BTW: I'm totally OCD regarding my car and 100% unapologetic.
People ask questions of others before they make a mistake that might damage their $60K vehicle. That's what a forum is for. If you already know everything, then a forum will serve you little.

I have spent the last 6 years saving to buy this car and I absolutely love it! It's about the only thing of any value that I've ever bought for my self for the pure pleasure of it.
I've only had it 2 weeks and I smile everytime I look at it. I am extremely proud of it and want to keep it in the best possible condition.
If you think I am being pedantic about it, then thats fine. But don't ridiclue me about trying my best.

Nothing wrong with having a little bit of levity here.
