I am due to collect ( in UK ) my new Carbon Black 535d in 3 or 4 weeks and dealer has recommended a paint protection system, no trade name yet, but I have asked for full details before making a decision. Have any of you guys ( or gals ) any experience, recommendations etc regarding such treatments ( both inside and out ).

the overwhelming majority of opinion is that the dealer installed 'paint protection' is a rip-off.
youre better off just buying a bottle of synthetic wax (like autoglym in the UK) and doing it yourself.
