What toothpaste brand?

Should I get colgate?
Crest?

'tartar control etc etc.."

I heard white colgate is the best for cleaning silver.

my 2 cents.

What toothpaste brand?
umm... , not sure but i think the original toothpaste is "safer" to try than the whitening or tartar control. just because the original is probably not as "strong" as the other two. but you can always try a small amount of whitening toothpaste and apply it to a small hard to see area. then you can compare the two. i'm sure you don't want to your exhaust tips look whitened . now we are more like the scientists who testing out all the toothpastes .

Question

I think Toothpastes have tiny abrasives in them. So i'd be cautious before using it on chrome.

Right. Good enough for you teeth, but not good enough for your baby.
