Default Buffing out scrapes

What do you folks recommend for buffing out scrapes and scratches on the front fender and bumper? I scraped them on a pole backing out of my garage today.

When I had my Alpine White E39, I used to use a liquid rubbing compound without too much trouble. Now that I have a Black Sapphire E60, that doesn't work so well.

Those can't be polished/buffed out, sorry. Sure you can try wetsanding, but those look pretty deep.

I agree with Antti - I think you're in for some paint work. But a good shop should be able to blend that in for you without necessitating painting whole panels.

Usually if you can feel them with your finger nail they wont come out.

exactly. run your fingernail across them.. if your nail falls into the grove and catches they wont come out.
you could try some 1500 grit paper and an orbital sand.. (DA)
Machine Buff (wool pad) and then de swirl.. (foam pad+ mahine polish/wax.) especially with black paint.

good luck!

Yea man i'm with everyone else on this, it's not going to come out. But, if you really wan't to try you can wet sand it with a high grit sandpaper, just make sure you keep it wet and then buff the remaining out. It will def make it less noticible if you go that route. I had one similar to that after my wonderful wife decided to take my car out one day... Good luck!
