BREAK DUST!!!!
#13
I have a 2007 honda civic si and right now i have my winter rims on so i just took the time tonight to clean my summer rims and they had a harsh coating of brake dust and tar build up on them....if its any help to you all I have never tried it before until tonight but i took a Tin of WD40 and coated my rims in the spray and let it sit for about 30 seconds and started to wipe them down and everything came right off with ease now there was a couple of spots on them that demanded a little more attention but each rim took about 10mins to clean and they came out just like new if I had to think about it before i found this forum i would have took a before and after pic. but just give it a try hope it helps take care

oh yeah and forgot to mention if you have your rims mounted on the car try the WD40 as well but try and not get it on your brakes....after you have everything you want off wipe it over with a dry cloth and coat them in wax let it set and then buff it off with a microfiber cloth and it will pervent the brake dust from burning into your rims you will find when you wash your car again its just takes a wipe of a cloth to get them clean but good idea to reapply the wax after each wash...

Dustless pads. Take your pick of manufacturers. I like Axxis http://store.zeckhausen.com/catalog/index....Path=3_4_69_558
You're wheel will only be as dirty as the rest of the car - road grime only, no dust!
