If you use a true carnauba paste wax, like Pinnacle Sauverain, then you can do as many layers as you want. The more, the better.

But the catch is.... you must let each coat cure for 12 hours between applications. That means leaving your car in the garage for days and not driving it anywhere. I did this for a week once.... waxed once a day and left it overnight. The results were fantasitc. The wax protection laster much longer.

hehe that was first day at the dealers and I am the striped shirt guy talking to another E60 owner wanting 166 rims ,he saw mine and was asking the price,
you guys will be surprised ,i paid almost 4000 euros for this set,its crazy in thailand

do you leave it in the sun too?

In your locale with hot temps and humidity I would consider a synthetic wax, I think you would get better durability and better overall performance . The other benefit is the ease of application and polishing off. I used a Mequiars synthetic wax as it was recommended as a better performer on light colored cars, I have Alpine White .
