I washed and waxed (nothing exotic just Autoglym) my car, finished about 7pm.
Came out to it next morning, the drivers door had taken serious incoming from a feathered friend!

I didn't have time to clean it off as i was late, but that evening i cleaned it off and it now appears to have
eaten into to the clearcoat!!!!!

I thought it was just the wax but i've tried a gentle cutting compound and nothing will get rid of the
etched in marks (looks similar to a couple of giant thumb prints) will claying the effected area help at all?

I need expert advice.....i'm sure this is the right place!

When the light catches it, it looks awful!!!!!......help.

Got mine on the flat part of the rear bumper......pigeon dropping, tried everything short of getting the whole bumper painted. Slowly learning to live with it, won't be long though cause have plans to re-paint the whole car AW excuses..excuses...excuses.

You have three options here depends on how bad the damage was:

1)Clay it

If that doesnt work

2)Wet sanding (Find a decent detailer in your area to do the job)

If still no success

3)Repaint

Every time i see the bird drops, i use plenty of water to remove it and wont leave it overnight!! They are stronger than acidic!!
