Rejex works great at minimizing bug splats on the windshield.

Same for me...
I will remove the buggers each time I get the chance, because I can't stand the look of a windshield full of mutilated insects or leftovers.
Driving very slowly is also known to be an effective 'preventive measure', but most beemer owners have a problem with this one...

Rejex works great and I also use the insect remover by BMW. That stuff works great!

Extra Gloss Protection from Autoglym has worked perfect for me. Drove 1500 km last week, and whatever bugs were left on the front were easily removed with mildly temperated, soapy water from a high pressure hose.

IMHO the car is also extremely shiny.

Meguiars quik clay. Takes a little longer than hosing off, but then you can only do that if you have enough layers of wax/sealant. Plus quik clay has the advantage of you can get the stuff off weeks/months after it gets on there..........Not that you'd wait that long to clean your E60........I'm only speaking from experience of buying a new (used) car, which was covered in contaminants; looked like it had not had a proper wash/wax for years. But quik clay did the trick!

I use RejeX (like Andy545), Clear Bra, wash bugs soon after smashing and after light soaking with water hose, and use a nylon mesh-wrapped sponge. I also use RejeX on the windshield like stream does.
