I know this is a stupid question, but.... a "new" gt-r needs a paint correction? I don't get it.

I bet that gt-r moves. I'd have to take it out and rip on it before it was given back to the client.

even in transport cars get very dirty. Most cars come by train and the amount of dirt, dust and grime that gets on "new" paint is quite a lot.
