Hey there, my car went in to the dealer today. I got a 2009 328i loaner. All I can say is, "cute... but not for me!"

When I hit the freeway, I got stuck behind a stupid idiot driver who didn't know how to drive. I shifted the gear to DS and floored the gas pedal as I moved to the left lane. Boy, did she scream! It red-lined and the car took-off quite quickly, but, I got a whole new level of appreciation for my 4.4L V8! That said, I must say that I'm enjoying the 328i much more than the X3 I had as my last loaner.

They really improved the new 328i ascetically. Front bumper seems to be lower for a more aggressive look and I really like the brown / black leather interior. No navigation, voice-command or iPod interface, but it did have auto-folding side mirrors - that is the one feature I wish I had that on my 545i.

I had a piece of trim (I believe part of the shadowline) that was sticking out. In trying to correct it, we actually bent it worse. The dealership had to order a new one and they covered it under warranty. It wasn't a big deal, but that silly piece was bugging me. Now, I'm getting a new one. Yeah!

You know, I've heard a lot of horror stories with many BMW dealerships, but the one in Waterloo, ON has been really good to me. They are excellent to work with and I always get a loaner car when I'm in for service. Anyway, just wanted to share some pic's for your enjoyment.

Man, its weird to see a BMW interior without the iDrive screen. I get soooo used to seeing mine that it kind of threw me for a loop

just got a 328i loaner today.. I am located in Canada

so for the 328i, it is POS... i am not saying it is slow or anything, it's just that the build quality is nowhere near a 5s. The doors felt really light, and the interior is pretty shitty. The car come with no sports package, oh god, the steering wheel is makes feel like in an domestic car....

it pulls pretty ok tho, cuz the car is a lot smaller than the 5..

one funny thing about my last visit.

i sit down and get my loaner. it is a 2009 328i. cars not bad at all for a loaner. i stand up and my salesmen comes back and we start talking about the car and a new car for my mom because shes interested in a 3. Another guy sits down after me to get his loaner. He brought his 7 series in (not sure which one) to get serviced and the lady giving him his loaner says "sir im sorry the only car we have left is a chevy aveo!!" AHAHAHAHAHAHA he was pissed. Looked at the lady and said im dropping off my 7 to get that??

When I went a couple of weeks ago for my last FREE service , BMW of FFX put me in a 750i . Loved it.

FFX seems to have a large Enterprise fleet and I have always ended up in a 5er or a X5. BMW of Sterling is a different story, though. Never got a 5er, 3s and Minis being the norm. One time they gave me a Chevy pickup.
