" Would you buy an ex company car?" : NO~!
If you're getting a USD BMW, make sure its a CPO. If it isn't a CPO, at least know the owner very well to judge how they took care of the car otherwise you might be in a world of hurt as far as maintenance down the road.

mine is an ex lease car with full bmw service history at synter birmingham,
has 90000mls 530d aug 2004 se spec in met grey and black leather, privacy glass, no nav stock radio/cd standard alloys (now replaced with 19"s he he !!)
no damage no bumps ect
paid ?8999 in early feb 2009 bought from a dealer in autotrader, bargain for a ?35000 car 4 years old!!! runs a dream and fast!!!
once i got it i did a full service myself using quality oil and took swirl flaps out, replaced engine breather and added a k&n filter so i know its right from now on.
hope this helps.

My Ride: 08 550 Carbon Sport Almost everything factory, but no sound upgrades.
I spent many years driving company cars that were then offered to employees.
I would buy one if it was the one I had driven for 55K miles. Otherwise no.
BTW none of those were Bimmers.
