We had the oil topped up at about 2200 miles (520i).

What do you mean with "Oild Topped up"? Is that like adding more oil to your car?

I had to add 1 quart of oil not too long ago, because the I drive was displaying low oil. My M3 and 330Ci just to consume about a quart of il too. So I think this is normal.

I think there's still a lot of niggly little problems with IDRIVE/sensors/etc

I had several warnings on flat tyres (RunFlats) + Brake pads needing servicing after only 2-4000 miles of driving.

Multiple visits to the dealer later (and a free umbrella) , it turns out that some of the sensors on my car were faulty!

Yeah - probably there wasn't added a sufficient amount of oil when the car was prepared after shipping - and allegedly, cars tend to use some oil during the break-in period.

3100 miles later there have been no warnings and the oil level is where it should be.

Well teh cahned the oil at 6700 miles, the IDrives still had a remaining 2300 The advisor said "BMW order every dealer to perform maintenance for IDdrive Oild request eventhough still has some miles to go. Iguess is like the old system, you are in the yellow inspection light at 6700 miles and in red you are at zero...who knows.

They even change my windshield wipers, he just asked me if I want it ot be changed, and I said what ever you think the car needs.

The funny part was when I picked up the car, the forgot to reset the IDrive. I had to call the Service Manager and had 2 mechanics trying to reset it because it did not want to. Finally after a few minutes they reset it. <_<
