2 years is all we get with the option of paying for a 3rd year. Slashing the warranty to give us lower prices... I WISH! ![Angry](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/angry.gif)
Even for a small market such as Australia, they really shouldn't charge us US$75000 for a 530i! But once you drive the car... what's money if you don't spend it on something you like.

Stop whinning! In Singapore, we pay almost the equivalent of US$140,000.00 for a 530i.
The taxes and a certificate of entitlement (the right to ownership of a car for 10 years - amount determined thru a bidding process) for having a car here is astronomical (we buy one, you probably could buy two

But the COE is the one that kills you not the car!!! That's a government thing!!!
Luxury car taxes at retail aside, BMW still reaps US$65,000 per car in revenue. It's a premium brand which deserves premium pricing some manager said once in a car article.
But yeah, I feel your pain.
As a car lover, the last place I EVER want to live in is Singapore.
Great place but PRICEY vehicles...
Just when you think you have it bad, there are always people who have it worse. Hehehe...

We have a 3 year/60,000 miles warranty in the UK.
For ?1,000 we can purchase service inclusive which covers the servicing during this period - includes everything except tyres.

In US, it's 4yr/50K miles warranty. I tried to buy extended warranty 6yr/70K miles, and it cost $2000 with $200 deductible. I passed. I will either sell my car before it hit 50K miles and get another one.

Hi gf366
Good idea, btw which service center do u bring your car to? HK side or KLN side?? If HK side, I know Brian Lai (service manager) rather well, he always keep me posted on any "jet-so" deals and such.
Btw, how much does your OZ wheels and tire set cost?
