UK Service Costs
Has anyone had their first service yet?
Just wondering what the expected cost for servicing over 3 years or 60,000 would be in comparison to the ?1,000 for service inclusive.
Regards,
Phil.

I asked a similar question when considering the Service Inclusive when it was ?750.
See this post Service Inclusive (UK)
I decided to take it up before the price increase. Not sure about ?1000 though, maybe BMW have increased the prices due to higher costs than expected?

I asked my local dealer today and they quoted ~?220 for the 1st, ~?260 for the 2nd and ~?360 for the 3rd - all for a 530d.
This pricing excludes consumables such as brake pads, wipers, etc.
Based on this pricing and the consumables which are not included, it looks like the ?750 is good value. As for the ?1000, I'm not sure how much of a saving it represents, but I think that it will still be a saving.

From the small print, you're limited to 4 sets of wipers or something like that. By 1st service do you mean the Oil Service at ~13000 miles or Inspection 1 type service. I had an 325iSE before and the oil service was about ~?130. Brake fluid change after 2 years was ~?70. I never did see the cost of the Inspection I service.
I didn't qualify it any further, in the case of the 530d, the first service is at approx 18,000 miles, depening on use.
I wonder what the life expectancy is for brake pads/discs - do they normally last at least 18K miles?

Unless you are going to cover 60000 miles in the 5 years it's not really worth the cost.It would be cheaper to pay for a service when due as people who do low mileages would not need a service every 12 months, it would probably be 14-15 month intervals.
