I would be interested to know is the best discounts the dealers are offering in the UK for 530i M Sport on the list price. I know it is difficult to work out where the discount is given if a number of optionals extars are selected, but it would help to know what prices you paid for your 530i M Sport and which optionnal extrax you have selected.
Thanks,

He kept dropping the price as I kept dropping extras (as you can see I didn't drop that many).
We both ended up "happy".

All I did was walk into a dealer with a set of internet prices with virtually all the extras on, told him how big a cheque after part exchange I was prepared to write and we both "squeezed".
He kept dropping the price as I kept dropping extras (as you can see I didn't drop that many).
We both ended up "happy".

That is a very good spec car. If I may ask, what price did you pay?

With no part ex I would look at between 8-12% on a 530i sport, and then look at loosing another ?12k in year one, ?6k in year 2 and ?5k in year 3.
Or you could buy a nice 550i with less than 5000 miles on it and with all the toys for slightly less than the new 530i price. Only drinks about 1-2mpg more and is in a different league to the 530i. Depends how much you have to have a brand new car?

Its the Spec you see. I am very particular what I want. If I can get the colours and the options I want for a car with 5000 Miles, I will grab it.

Toatally understand.
But you do get a good chance with a 550i or an M5 of getting a nice high spec. ex demo car.
Have you considered an M5? They are dipping below the ?50k mark now for an 05 plate one and always have all the toys, bet it would still be worth ?30k+ after 3 years so approx. ?20k loss, the 530i would cost you what ?41k after discount for a nice spec and be worth what? ?18k after 3 years??
Worth considering.

I doubt whether there's such a thing as an 05 ex demo...

No of course not, there will be 05 used cars or 06 plate ex-demo 550i and M5's.
