Don't playa hate the playa, hate the game!
The trade in figure is up in the air right now. 38 to 40k?
An 05 Euro Delivery US spec 545i can be had for as little as 47,225 (no options) plus your negotiated dealer profit. Personally i don't need that many options (maybe NAVI) anyway. I should have bitten the bullet and went for the 545 to begin with. (another 7 grand) HINDSIGHT IS 20/20
A friend of my sister in-law in San Francisco is picking up a 530i (37,490 before options + dealer profit) in Munchen sometime this month. The only option he chose was Adaptive Xenons.
PM or email me for further info

Good enough.
The problem is I am going to lose on my current car like at least 10K. That draws me back . In addition, I have to pump in another 15K-20K at least. Bummer :'(

Did you do Euro Delivery?
Most of your loss is the tax you paid for the car and part of the US invoice.
Get your car appraised for a trade in, it might be worth it.
In NY the trade in allowance is subtracted from the new car price and you pay tax on that difference.
Hence 38,000 trade x 8.75%= 41,325 worth to me/ 39,000 trade x 8.75% = 42412.50 /40,000 trade x 8.75% = 43,500 etc.
I might get low 40's on a private sale but it'll be a wash. Plus dealing with all sorts of wackos.Of course when trading you have to beware of the dealer lowballing your trade or padding his/her profit to compensate.
