My CA just told me my order is in "150 status" and I should be getting my VIN soon. What is the approx. time from build to delivery in southeast USA?

Dallas was 3/5 to 4/10. I managed to survive by the hardest.

With so few 545 slots waiting for the build date is the excruciating part.

4/13: Build start, VIN available
5/14: Delivery to me

Add 2 or 3 days transport for you because my dealer was only 40 min. from the nj prep center. One other part that is highly variable is how long you wait at the port in Germany for a boat to carry you (I mean your car!) home to the US. This can be anywhere from the same day to 1 week or more in some cases. Second most variable part is how long it spends at the prep center here. This can be anywhere from one day to 1 week or longer. Longer than 3 days there is fairly rare. I think status 150 is actually build started, but I'm not sure; it may be 'scheduled for production'. Once it arrives at the prep center, your dealer is the only one that can tell you it was 'released for transport'. Good luck! We need web-cams at the factory so we can watch our babies being built!

when you get a VIN, does that mean the car is built?

No.

When production starts, you get the VIN. Thats my experience. The actual complete production takes approx. 1 week once it enters production. The waiting for delivery after its built takes longer.. about one month. I'm expecting a delivery hopefully sometime next week.. it will arrive NJ this Sat. Waiting is killing me. But Im sure its worth it once I get my car.
