I've been lurking on this forum for a while learning about the E60 and I'm ready to take the plunge. I've found a well priced ($35K) example with 34K miles on it with Logic 7, NAV, AS, Sport Package, and Winter Package, but I'm a little concerned that the large amount of warranty work done indicates a potentially problematic car. Your thoughts on the following would be appreciated.

Is it a CPO ? Are you buying from a Dealer or Private party ?

Its not CPO. Its being sold by a non-BMW dealer who bought it from BMWFS off-lease. Its got 9 months left of factory warranty coverage.

I would pass. 9 months left and the bills are yours! Trust your instincts. If you posted if you should buy the car, you had reservations about buying it. And you will probably be right. There are other 545's. Keep looking and enjoy the hunt.

Don't do it Davey. Not to mention that the NY dealers won't be so kind, once that warranty runs out. Stay away. That car has a longer rap sheet than John Gotti!
