Customer service or rather the lack of it in life these days is a subject close to all our hearts, this weekend i had an oil warning on my 525d (first derv car), On Monday I called my local dealer (Menzies (Stirling)), 'Tuesday morning Sir no problem'... I rolled up this morning, handed over my key and was then a little amazed when I was given my cars stats which had been read from the key (technology rocks), to cut a long story short, instead of taking me for an oil service they topped my oil as required charging me only for the oil.

For the record 11900 mls needed a 2ltr top up

Now in this day and age I left the dealership a happy person and a little more faith in humanity & car dealerships.

Apologies if i bored you but the little things in life mean alot to me.

Oh add to this they had a stuning 335i Coupe in the showroom in Alpine White.... one for the future.

That is indeed good to know - I'm in the Falkirk area so they are closer than Eastern to get to.

( I'm actually buying from Eastern as they appeared keener and my wife prefered the Loo's )

I purchased as well from Eastern, and had one service there but their customer service was poor. I had my next one at Stirling and it was so much better actually identifying some warranty work to be done. Oh they were also cheaper as well!

Wee bump for this as my service light has come on - 17200 miles in 9 months (Must remember to update my mileage with the insurance also !)

I'm Falkirk area - who is offering the better service these days ?

I work in Edinburgh but just off the bypass so not city center - Am I better taking it to where I bought the car although I didnt have the great purchase experience i expected with them

( Got the BMW maintenance on the car so hopefully cost isnt an issue )
