So after hitting some Socal potholes from the storm, I was back up in SF to service my car: alignment, windshield, oil change, etc. The car was suposed to be done the same day but no one had called me back. I went in this morning and my SA says "oh sorry your car isn't ready but we can give you a loaner". I was thinking nice... maybe a 535 to test out or a 3 series to beat up ...

They pull this up...

Dealers have loaner fleets. Ours is 99 3 Series, mostly 328xi. When we run out of cars, we use a rental agency like most other dealers very few of whom rent out BMWs. We do this to accomodate our customers. The choice is whether you want the service done now and deal with a rental or wait a day or so for a BMW. The choice is always our customers. It is in no way a reflection of us "cheaping out" or not wanting to accomodate our clients; it's the exact opposite.

I totally understand and appreciate the fact that I even get a loaner for free. I just thought it was funny that I got a sentra. The bad: The car had been smoked in

So far, I've received a beige 08 Impala, white mini cooper and (the one time I got an English-speaking rep) a black e90 323 from my dealer... they do all their loaning through Enterprise Car Rental, and only when an English employee was working, did i actually get a choice.. i picked the 323 over a 4cyl. Mazda6

nevertheless, no complaints on the free rides lol
