So sick of the fact that if you didnt buy your BMW from Dealer A you CANT get a loaner from dealer A. You must go to dealer B where you got your car from to get it serviced with a loaner available. So lame man....it seems like BMW is doing EVERYTHING possible to save money. Im not even mentioning that every car company from Kia to Lexus wash the customers' cars after service but BMW feels like its not "Green"....bullshit man

That's a drag. You may want to shop around for dealers, as policies vary. For example, I always get a loaner, and have to request that my car NOT be washed. BTW: I currently live in STL, but bought the car in Chicago.

I got my e60 from Valencia BMW, but everytime I've take my car to Center (in Sherman Oaks) they give me a loaner...it's not a BMW, but they pay for my enterprise rental..it's better than nothing. They reserve BMW loaners for Center BMW purchasers....

I'm not sure what "green" has to do with it, but it seems to have always been the case that you get loaners only from the dealership you purchased from.

this is NOT a BMW rule at all. Its the individual dealerships service center that makes these types of rules. My last two, including current car were bought out of state, but I still have gotten loaners from my local dealership every time I would need them though I do not purchase the cars from them. Im not sure how long you are an owner and how friendly you are with your SA, but that does go a long way in these situations. Ive been a steady customer of my local dealership's service center for over 10 years continuous and counting, and I know many of the SAs and service managers, and deal with the same SA for the majority of the past decade. So they do not hesitate to give me bmw loaners any time necessary.

Also, its again your dealerships issue with the car washes, not BMW. My dealership actually built a new carwash attached to their new service center, so they do that too.

+1, BMW of San Diego always gives me a loaner and washes the car. I didn't by the car there and it is out of warranty. They even replaced my alternator for free out of warranty on good faith!! Time to find a new dealer buddy

give the current dealership some negative feedback and take your vehicle to the next closest one. Like the rest of the posts above, i purchased my car from Pacific BMW in glendale and get loaners from Shelly in buena park. good luck
