Ok...so I took delivery of my new 06 530i on tuesday....It's such a SWEET CAR!!! (Pics posted in the Galleries) So now I have a stupid question....

Any recommendations on closing the trunk without having to push down from the top of the lid (Boot)? I know it sounds silly, but I got Jet Black, so every palm print shows!!! There is so much resistance I can't seem to get enough leverage to have the lock engage when I try to push it closed from the lower ledge below the licence plate (doesn't show hand prints as much down there!!! Other than white gloves or getting a new colour (LOL), any suggesting from you e60 veterans w/ more experience???

My friend has one of these on his license plate frame. It works and it's hardly noticeable.

I have used the inside grab slots successfully about 95% of the time. You have to pull down pretty hard and get your hand/arm out of the way (of course).

There's never a need for touching the paint or adding an external handle. BMW already has two internal handles -- they're just a secret to many people. Also, some people have a hard time learning the technique required to use the handles so they either stop using them entirely or learn to hate them early on.
