Thumbs up

All,

I need to have a visit to a dealer for some 'squeeky brake service' and have 3 dealers to choose from that are close by: Rusnak, Bob Smith, and Steve Thomas. I did some forum searches and looks to be that Bob Smith is pretty good, but not much on Steve Thomas and negatives about Rusnak.

FlyingPuck sounds like avoiding Rusnak at all costs is appropriate. I purchased my car from Newport BMW, but that is a bit of a drive down here in the LA area.

Thanks all for the input!

Been to center BMW (sherman oaks), not too impressed. My SA turned out to be my mechanic I used to go to for my first car. Real nice guy, said they honestly need more shop foreman there, it's mostly techs back there. Took them 4 days to figure out a rattle issue, even after I brought in solutions from e60.net members. My loaner was a rental from enterprise, a nissan sentra  Went back to possibly set-up an appointment for a stiff brake pedal at start, was told by my SA that you gotta set-up an appt 2 weeks ahead of time to get a BMW loaner, told me he would have the girl that schedules this call me in 20 minutes, she was right there next to him when he told me this. Never got a call back, 1 week later I get a call trying to confirm my service appointment for the next day. I politely declined, called my SA and told him what went down. He apologized, he's great, it seems the rest of the staff isn't.

I will be planning on making an appointment for my first scheduled maintenance with Bob Smith in Calabasas. My neighbor across the way takes his 745i there, he has nothing but good things to say about them also (he did not get his BMW from there)

I tried setting something up with Rusnak regarding the rattle (was not resolved the first time), but same thing, no follow-up call back to confirm appointments.

Have not heard anything about Century West BMW (studio city) or Valencia BMW (where I got my car from).

Thanks guys for the service feedback... I'll look to set something up with Bob Smith for the brakes.
