Reprogramming the iDrive - indy shop NYC

Anyone know of an independent shop that can enable my CD changer in the iDrive in the NYC area?
I already have it prewired. I would like to install the ipod kit. But have been told I need to enable the cd changer in the iDrive. Dealer is quoting $300 bucks just to reprogram the car for this. Seems very steep...
