Got my "new" car yesterday. BMWNA agreed to buy back my original lemon and found me the exact car I had with satellite radio. I tried to get into a 550, but darn vehichle locator system found my cars twin!! I didn't want to pay anything more for the 550 upgrade, so alas I'll just wait for the 560

BMW NA did same for me. I opted for a 645 that the dealer had on lot.

I am going to meet with the BMW rep soon. (From Munich, (Munchen)) I hope to have the same results. My car has been in over 20 times since I got it in Nov. To many problems to list here some of the visits were for the same problem they could not fix. Now a new on has started when I turn my steering wheel to the right 90 degrees or more I feel a clunk in the steering wheel. The other day I walked away from my car. The horn beeped and the key (gong) was going. I had my key in my hand. 2 hours later the gong was still going strong! (key symbol was on) Dealership had my car most of the summer (I was in the States) to finally fix ALL of the problems. Good try! Problems are still there.

I got my 545 last FEB 2005. Till date it went to service 4 times mainly for the same problem which they are unable to fix. the last visit is the longest (4weeks)

Last week i had a meeting with BMW Middle East and it seems that they agreed to replace my car. they were hinting to brand new 530, 06. but i did not agree i asked for a min 545 or 550 (equivelant to my car).

they promissed to get back to me on this coming wednesday, let us wait and see.

My deal was invoice price to invoice price. They gave me invoice value of my car (new) to put toward any BMW at invoice price. I paid the difference. The good part was that they kept the original lease intact. So for my 645, the payments are the same as my 545. And, at the end of the remaining 26 months of my original 36 month lease, I can buy the 645 for the residual value of 545 after 36 months in lease.
