If you're not having any other problems I can't think of anything else. You might want to ask the dealer if they can squeeze in one last service, be it standard scope or inspection, etc. I hear sometimes they'll do this if you're close.

Honestly, though, I'd worry about taking the car in this close to the end. It seems to me dealers create as many problems as they solve. What do you do then, out of warranty?

Have you found a reliable non-dealer BMW shop yet?

My E60 is close to 50000 mls too and my service rep. told me that car is pretty reliable. Stuff will happen. Just enjoy the car.

If you still can...I'd seriously consider paying to have the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty extended. It may cost between $2K - $3K but you will probably save $$'s later on AND when you go to trade/sell the car...it will be worth more with the factory warranty for sure. With my 2008 I have the option to extend it to 7 years or 100K miles and I can do this right up until the factory warranty expires. If I end up keeping the car long-term I will purchase the extension of the factory warranty.
