got the word this morning i was approved by BMWFS on a lease. i remember reading somewhere that when youre approved you lock in the lease rates (MF and residual) for the next two months. is that true?
so, if next month they come out with dealer inventives (cash back) to get rid of the remaining e60's before the new engines start coming in, will i be able to get both the dealer incentives AND the nice lease rates they have out now?

thanks very much in advance....getting closer and closer to my new car!!!!

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to take advantage of the incentives as well as the rates.

I don't think BMWFS cares about the dealer incentives, etc. You negotiate the best deal (should be some $$ over invoice) which might factor in incentives, etc. Once you agree to a deal, BMWFS will kick in with the financing. The nice thing about BMWFS is that if the rates go down, you'll get the new lower rates but if they go up, you'll stay locked in to the initial rate you were approved at.

Keep in mind that I'm not 100% sure of all of this. I'm sure if someone else knows more, they'll chime in with more accurate information...

IMHO, incentives mean nothing to BMWFS....as far as money factor, you are locked in and guaranteed at current rate for 60 days....in other words, if rates go up you are protected....if you have a good sales rep, he will also protect you if rates go down and offer you the better, lower rate; however, at a current money factor rate of .00100, it's doubtful rates will go any lower.

You just need to come to an agreement with your SA that you get the benefit of the lower rate. Keep track of the rates. Back in January, my SA resubmitted my app. to get the lower rate. Its not done automatically.

does anyone have a crystal ball that will tell them if there will be cash incentives starting april 1?
dunno if i should wait the extra 2 weeks or go ahead and order the car right now. (id hate to take delivery of the car and then a few days later find out that i couldve gotten an extra thousand or two off the price)
