"No, Puma is a BMW acronym for a case report on a warranty item (Parts/procedure under manufacturer's assessment???)"

Thanks Rudy, I knew there must be a sensible answer in the forums somewhere, but my search couldn't find it.

Good luck to the Steelers in the SB, bit of a Broncos fan myself so it would be nice to have been beaten by the Champions!

In certain Service Bulletins, you may also see that the dealer is not allowed to obtain certain parts in limited availablility unless they open a PuMA case. "PuMA" is the normal BMW printed use of this acronym. The ones I have seen look like an an email or other plain text mesasge format. As you have seen, they will get feedback in the same message in the form of suggested troubleshooting techniques, or acknowledge that this is a recognized issue with authorization to obtain or use parts.
