I decided to call BMW NA - they checked and said that the color I wanted - titanium grey - was what they were indicating on the order for my 545i - so I really wonder about the accuracy of the information on the BMW Owner's Circle site(at least as it relates to production of the car)

That may be the color the car WAS going to be built with. Basically, every car has it's own original specs. Then when you order yours, your dealer gets that car as part of its allocation and then changes the specs of the car according to your order.

Mine was originally going to be silver gray or something. A few days later, the Owners Circle updates with your real specs. So just keep checking. That site is notoriously slow.

That makes sense! Mine was correct from the get go on the OC since mine was ordered with the dealer way before the allocation month due to the availability of nav, smg, and hud.
