Here is the other side of the coin for the interesting poll started by Chuck W. I answered "one." BMW is unable, or unwilling, to solve the problem with my DSC/DTC introduced when my software was updated to 20.01.00. I say unwilling because there is a chance that a roll back to 19.01.01 would solve my problem. However, roll backs can only be done sometimes under only very unusual circumstances as I understand things--actually maybe never.

2 or 3 things...
On occasion, the steering wheel won't move into driving position once withdrawn for exit. Using the adjustment button to reposition it fixes it. Problem was there from day one. Very noticable to me because I need wheel positioned full out and down for comfort, but need it full up to get out.

On occasion (once a month), lately (after over 2 years ownership) can't turn ignition key at all to start car. Need to violently turn wheel back and forth to be able to turn key. Dealer claims no problem.

On occasion, from day one, had dreaded hesitation from standstill. Problem is much less severe now. Dozens of forum members complained about this one. No special action taken by dealer that they admit.

Occasionaly don't get opening screen and no radio or audio. Happens several times a year. Stop car and turn on again, clears up. No recourse on this one from dealer. Never got reboot function (from forum instructions) to work.

Oops, I should have answered two. I forgot about BMW not being able to fix my keys/whatever so that the drivers' settings change when a different driver/key unlocks the doors.

I have a wheel shimmy and seat vibration at speed that the dealer and factory field service rep insist are within normal parameters. After replacement of 5 out of round tires, mutiple balancings, and one alignment, I still feel it. The FSR told me that since I have a manual transmission, more vibration gets trasmitted inside the car, that auto-equipped cars don't suffer that issue. I'm no engineer, but as a customer that explanation did not put me at ease.

Since they ripped out the dash to replace the iDrive screen, the dash now rattles. I wonder if the dead pixels would have been less annoying...
